Nedbank’s Water Stewardship Programme is a bold effort in the right direction – a wholehearted dedication to water, be it scarcity, quality or access. Although, the programme is simply an element of the group’s overall focus on water sustainability concerns, ranging from the 20-year old WWF Nedbank Green Trust (which has, to date, ploughed more than R100 million into over 170 major conservation projects) to the Hippo Water Roller Project (bringing clean drinking water to many thousands of rural South Africans, funded by the Nedbank Foundation).
