Traditionally, women and children in Mathibestad have had to transport water from local sources to their homes using buckets, each weighing a whopping 20 kilograms. This task involves carrying these heavy buckets on their heads or by hand, a challenging and physically demanding endeavor that takes a toll on their bodies and keeps children away from school.
Enter Vernon Song and the visionary members of the Rotary Club of Chatswood Sunrise, who decided to explore a solution: HippoRollers. These innovative devices can carry a staggering 90 liters of water, all concentrated in a barrel that is easily pushed or pulled.
