At Conservation Fusion, we’re thrilled to share how innovative tools like the Hippo Roller are transforming lives in the villages of southern Madagascar. For many children—especially girls—fetching water used to mean abandoning school, as they had to make long, daily trips to the well. But thanks to the Hippo Water Roller, everything is changing.

In one striking example, a photo shows eight children, each balancing a bucket of water on their heads, alongside one boy who is rolling a Hippo Roller. The boy, using the Hippo Roller, is carrying as much water on his own than all eight of the other children combined. This powerful image underscores the the immense daily effort required just to bring water home.

This simple yet powerful tool is not only keeping kids in school but also reducing the time families spend fetching water, allowing them to focus on education and improving their economic stability.

We’re proud to be part of a solution that supports both education and livelihoods, ensuring a brighter future for the communities we serve. Together, we’re making strides toward a better, more sustainable life for all.

Thank you to Conservation Fusion for their efforts in improving lives and empowering communities in Madagascar.
